You're correct. Not only is there not much revenue but this product line is heavy with integration effort which is a resource they are short on. They would have serious trouble delivering a major order now.
Just a thought on this "new team".
1. Bruce is a slasher and cutter who is somewhat qualified to keep the ship from sinking, but is not a planner or visionary to help them beyond the short term. His "leadership" is what produced this mess they have today. He will help as long as his own self interest is consistent with Altris.
2. Erickson is a long term player and a decent mid-level manager. He has recently been running Strategic Partnerships which is one of the few bright spots for ALTS. He is tied to the company emotionally and financially but in his past assignments as president has proven to not be up to the job. Bruce passed him over in'95 to bring in Steven Gardner. He has many preception problems among the remaining workers over his committment to the success of ALTS. An example is his refusal to relocate to San Diego HQ even though his job seems to require it. He appears to be well liked and people oriented.
3. Many emploeeys will look for strong action from Bruce and Erickson on the Low issue. He has other dirty laundry in addition to the financial matters which have made him very unpopular with the mid level management an ddefocused the company. Lack of action will signal business as usual and will further erode support from the small remaining base of quality people left at ALTS.
