Bob,

Thanks for the clarification. A well thought out, informational post from you as usual. You and I agree on this,
Here people were manipulated into purchasing the stock just before it headed south to end up 1/4 of its initial value.

This point I think accounts for the awful sentiment towards the former mgmt. Now if the stock had hit 6, recovered to 15 the following quarter, and within 10 mos continue to blow away its former highs (like orcl did) then those ifmx guys might be invited to the White House for tea like Larry and Steve Case are.

BTW, on this issue of manipulation of revenue recognition... this company Auspex founded by Larry Boucher (who has done a number of companies, aspx being only one) has this policy of only recognizing revenue after the customer fills out this customer satisfaction survey with an excellent mark on the product. And coincidentally, they seem to always make their numbers to the penny! yeah right. The amazing thing is, they use this policy as PR for their company! "The customer satisfaction company" or something like that. I dont think they lie about sales, but they definitely manipulate the results come quarter end. So this manipulatory policy is fairly common these days, I always look for it. Analysts pitch this as a positive for the company, yikes.
