I think the point being illustrated is not INTC as much as it is the mgt of any company may be motivated to tap the coffers to hold up the price of their stock (options) when the market corrects (crashes) even if the stock is overvalued and not worthy of such support. This is what the Japanese just did, they took pension money to try and boost the Nikkie to 18,000 while the banks bailed. US Corps. will take cash reserves to prop their stock while mgt bails. And as we'll see in the end, you can't fight the tide.
