For faster internet connection, try MediaOne or ATHOME. The signal goes thru your cable/tv line. Ask your cable service provider. The monthly fee avg is $49.95. My friend lives in a city that has it and he got it. The advertised speed was 50 to 100 times your 33.6kbp modem. His proven connection is about 30 times the speed of his 33.6kbp phone modem.

I am waiting for my cable company to offer it in our area. I have TCI cable and they own ATHOME.
