Rod, 6 to 8 months is a pipe dream. You do not understand the CT market at all.In order for JTAPi to make any inroads against TAPI, there are several things which must take place:

1) The major PBX vendors (Lucent, Nortel, Mitel, Fujitsu, NEC, Alcatel, Siemens, etc) must provide JTAPI service providers, and they must scale.

2) Both Dialogic and NMSS must provide JTAPI drivers for their boards, and they must alos scale.

When both of these pre-conditions are met, then JTAPI might have a chance. Until then, there is little that you could do with JTAPI that would be useful.

Regarding Item 1, I have met with several of the major PBX vendors who are interested in OEM'ing our product. We have responded to several RFP's. JTAPI has never come up as a requirement.

Regarding Item 2, I have been through the product roadmap presentations for both DLGC and NMSS. As far as I know, there are no plans for JTAPI.

Even when 1 & 2 are met, TAPI is widely deployed in call centers, companies do not just toss products because something "better" has come along.

At CT Expo, TAPI 3 was the hot topic. Your 6-8 month projection is contrary to what all the major CT providers and customers are saying.
