Came across this AMZN post on another thread, but it sounds like some of the valuation comments around here: To: lisa (17747 ) From: John Carpenter Thursday, Apr 2 1998 6:18PM EST Reply # of 17765 Off topic I've seen the light. I decided to buy some AMZN(Amazon.Com) at a very modest PE of 9500(you heard it right 9,500) times estimated 1999 EPS(earnings estimated to be one whole cent). Who cares about earnings, when with AMZN, I'm buying a concept. In fact, with those 1999 earnings of one cent, I can truly be penny wise. Hurry on board, wise investors propelled the stock forward another 4 points today. Another 5 points and we'll be at 10,000 times estimated 1999 EPS. John
