ALL:

Was fooling around with my PC this am, wondering what would happen to my clock system if it should go into 2000. But before I tell you what happened, I tested my system with a demo program (forgot where I got it from) that would test out my system. After running this demo program, it reported that my "RTC Rollover" did not meet requirements.
Well so what I said to myself, it passed all of the other 5 test.

I went into MS-DOS this morning and reset my system clock to
12/31/99 11:59:00p, and waited for the turn over (Happy New Year).
Everything appeared fine after the turn over...No smoke, no weird banners, no nothing! Went back to Win95, and that looked good also, no weird time displays, etc.. I performed complete shut downs, reboots, and still nada. After all was said and done, I reset my system clock back to its present time.

Later on this afternoon, I did some trades, and went to my spread sheet (Microsoft Works v3.0b)to update accordingly..Ah hah! This is where the bug reared it's ugly head! In my Date Cell, when you enter a date all I would do is enter 4/2, then hit the Enter key, the program would automatically enter the current year for me, in this case it should have been '98, but no, it entered the year '00 not '98. So now I HAVE to manually enter the year '98 in all my date cells when I make entries.

No biggie u say! Perhaps not, but can u image some operator entering dates and money data, typing real fast, looking at sheets and not the screen, and not noticing that the year field was wrong...I think it could be a problem..

Well thats my story..
