I'm in that boat as well. Bought QNTM, LSI and BAY recently, thinking they had hit their bottoms.

The DOW stocks are getting into the clouds at this point - KO at a PE of 45, GE at a PE of 34. These sound like big growth tech stock multiples.

I'm sticking with my bottom fishing stock, but bailing out of most of the other stuff. My mind just can't ignore that old valuation issue. Yes, I know its a "new era", but I'm a slow learner....

I would imagine the technical picture looks pretty good with all this strength though.....?

Hi E and others:
Does anyone think the SOX has a serious chance to exceed last years high of 405 before this bull market comes to an end ? If the SOX index does go to a new high will it only be on the back of INTC, TXN,
MOT and AMAT or will it be a broad based advance ? Finally, if the overall market peaks in 1998 can the SOX Index continue to advance in
a meaningful way without the support of the overall market. (After all the SOX is nearly 25% off its highs while most major indices are
at record highs). Thanks to everyone for their comments.
