Haven't looked into it, but have given it a thought or two. (Yes, you are right, Lor did trade some satellite discounts for an equity interest.)

Its an interesting model. Like Cable TV, as they say. And besides that, it probably could take some cable TV programming and send it out. E.g., CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, etc. In addition of course to all sorts of niche market music.

I.e., have a mix of no commercial music. And commerical supported programing, news etc.

Again I have done my homework. <gg> It is directly from the 10 K reports:

Loral owns approximately 12% of CD Radio, Inc., a company that will provide digital audio radio service to automobiles by satellite.

It is amazing people are betting a company with such a high risk investment. I guess it takes Mr. Schawartz's guts to play the game! Well. It is thinly traded anyway. Again, I do not like to see my ex-owned YHOO going up like crazy with, shall we say, no revenue (a little more revenue than CDRD)!
