To all: Wall $treet Week... Fri. 4/3... Lazlo Biryini recommended TXN. His only pick. Just for reference, of Rukeyser's annual invited pickers, Biryini had one of the top 3 (maybe the best, can't remember) portfolio returns for 1997. He also picked Apple on Dec 31, at $18 or so.

Lest everyone get too excited, later on in the program, the guest interviewee was the Chief Investment Strategist for Value Line. The group to avoid, he sez, is semis and semi equipment makers. Duh! Tell me something I would have appreciated 6 months ago, not now when the groups are down bigtime, nitwit.

I didn't think much of Value Line in the past, and now I think even less. In fact, his advice to 'avoid' is my incentive to sell the farm and buy both sectors. BBH, round 2, as far as I am concerned.
