RE: CPQ/Acer/HWP & LS-120

Initially, i also got spooked when i read the announcement. Later i find that it is only an option and not standard. They can have many options and it is up to the customers to choose. I will be very worried if box makers start to push LS-120 as standard.

In this game, someone has to win finally and i think who ever is in lead currently has the best chances to win (unless they make big mistakes). Let's wait and watch. The game is still at early stage but with IOM in very good lead.

"Sit up and notice, IMN has both Compaq & HWP support..superdisk
is now going to be original equipment..and so forget the merits
of IOM. "

I have been around for a long time and have read every post here for the last 1 1/2 years..... What the heck are you talking about????

The only entry where the LS-120 has any acknowledgement is in the notebook arena. As far as I can tell, IOM supporters have long acknowledged that this is the only area where the LS-120 has any chance. Primary reason being space and backwards compatibility not to mention that IOM has been slow to reduce the size of the drive to fit into the smaller 12mm (or something like that) newer notebooks.

Look forward to you providing supporting information to help me reevaluate my current position...
