Not buying at this time. I've parked my existing WSTL shares in the long-term section of my portfolio and won't be buying more until I see some movement in the stock. For the stock to move, there needs to be some consensus that WSTL will start generating profits from xDSL.

To generate profits, the xDSL market needs to mature. The industry working group recently established to develop a common interop standard for xDSL is a big step in this maturation process.

Next, WSTL needs orders. FIRM orders. Not trials and vapor contracts with 101 exit loopholes, but FIRM orders. A few years ago many considered WSTL the acknowledged leader in xDSL technology. Unfortunately for WSTL, times have changed and now it appears everybody is jumping into xDSL. Competition for these orders will be intense.

Time will tell if I buy more WSTL.
