Nope. If you think about it, the price reaction makes sense. Many of the semi-equipment makers have already issued warnings before KLA-Tencor. Many investors foresaw KLA-Tencor to issue a warning as well but did not know to what extent the damage will be. Whenever, this is the case, it is always more prudent to sell the stock before the announcement. It is my guess that the financial shortcoming were not as bad as they thought it would be and so a select few decided to buy for the long term.

PS. I own shares in both KLAC and AMAT. I'm probably gonna sell KLAC. Don't know about AMAT though.
