Kevin: Much thanks for the post about Union Pacific..................... Don't think this deal comes as a real surprise to most of us!! The doubters have legitimate questions - we all do....but, to them I say, go get the Money Section of yesterday's "USA Today"....smack dab in the middle of the page is a picture titled FATHERS OF INVENTION... four portraits are shown - Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, (the two richest men in the country - if anyone's counting), Walter Scott (c/e/o of PKS, and our own James Crowe....oh yes, the (L3) logo is in the middle. Now it occurs to me that - these lads just didn't come up with this idea, in a bar, on a cocktail napkin. That's not how they got where they are today...some might even think they are a couple of damn smart dudes. Point - I'm betting there is a lot more to come AND probably quite rapidly. But EACH reader should do their own research. What is appropriate risk for me - may not be right for "you'all". Thanks again, Don (this does not mean that the competitors are not also attractive.)
