Glenn, I thought a stop loss doesn't go into affect until the target is hit and then and only then does the order go in and the MMs will see it. Just a guess. Been away from the thread for a while but now I am back.

You and I agree completely regarding stop losses. The market makers can see them.

Glenn, MM's can see a stop limit, or any other limit order, but cannot see stop orders (either stop loss or stop buy). However, I also hate any stop sell type orders. Been taken out too many times. Of course, I only seem to remember the bad ones, and not the good ones.
