I recently invested in Pfizer for this simple reason: I believe Viagra will do far more in sales than is currently priced into the stock, or the expectations. I believe this to be true based on input from my wife, who is a pharmacist for a major retail chain. First, she tells me she can already tell based on customer reaction to the announcement that she is not going to be able to keep the drug in stock. The last time this happened was with Cold-Eeze last year, and I still kick myself for not getting into QGLY stock then (although hopefully I would have been out before now!) Second, and more importantly, she says the "30 million men" figure that is being used to estimate revenue is based on the number of men affected permenently by this problem. However, she says there are a lot of prescription drugs that cause temporary disfunction. People with a temporary problem probably would never think of getting one the two current options, injections or suppositories, but I believe they would be more than willing to pony up some dough for an oral answer to their temporary setback. I believe Viagra sales will blow away the expectations and the stock will double in 1 year. At least, I'm betting my vacation money on it. Makes the difference between going to Iowa or going to Australia! :-) Good luck to all the longs. -jsc

What I gather from the site, is that Viagra shouldn't worry about competitor's. Apomorphine is used to make animals barf, that's what it's designed to do. That's what you also see in humans based on pharmacology, that's what is expected. Apparently increases mounting behaviour and erections in male rats only in the presence of female rats. Further more, I think the current preparation is sublingual, one of the least favourable method of administration. It probably tastes awful, might irritate mouth tissue and uncomfortable. Zonagen (ZONA) is trying to get phentolamine (P.O.) approved. Analysts say that this drug is 1 yr away from approval. I think the studies on this drug aren't as promising based on this. In 60 mg group of patients, saw some circulatory AE's. (Does AE mean adverse event?) 40 mg gave 50% enhancement of sexual response, whereas 60 mg gave 40%. Placebo gave 20%. n=10 for each group. I wouldn't bet my money on this one. All this is based on my opinion only. I hold no claims as to accuracy of the data I presented. As far as the prostaglandins go, might as well buy some spanish fly and rub it on your genitals.
