To the thread:

I noted a post on another thread with respect to ASFT that I felt deserved mention here.
The individual who posted suggested that ASFT would earn $.13 in the current quarter, after earning $.09 in q-2.
In response I wanted to point out that these expectations are unrealistic for the following reasons:
1)The new Telephony products will likely not add any significant revenue in the quarter, the products did not ship until the last day or two of the quarter. IMO, it is unrealistic to expect significant sales for another couple of quarters.
2) Expenses were likely higher in the current quarter. The company had a major trade show and likely had higher costs associated with the completion of the new products.
3)In the last quarter, ending in December, the company earned $.09 of which very little came from operations. Essentially the bulk of this profit came as the result of the sale of the corporate headquarters. Without this sale, earnings would have been closer to breakeven.

IMO, the company should be somewhere between a loss of $.02 and a profit of $.02. We may see a slight uptick on the revenue side. The revenue line should continue to improve going forward. I hope that the company will begin to breakout revenues from each of the divisions so that we will be able to measure the success of the new products.

I would be interested in the insights of others.
