Dom, how's the younger Goombah been? Intercepting this one, but I'll probably fumble it and Paul will recover: Intel has said that their capital equipment spending for 1998 would exceed that of 1997, by about 10%, I think. So, you would think that if that were Intel canceling, they would have said something. OTOH, it could be because of that new Intel plant delay we heard about, and maybe that's because of the DEC plant acquisition. The plant is complete with semi mfg equipment I assume.

How's that for a definitive answer?

Hey, let's get the stock moving again so I can afford the Chianti in the straw bottles, instead of in four liter bottles!

Ciao,

Tony

Dom, Paul -

<Major cancellation of bonders from KLIC!

Message 3937213 >

Is AMD's Fab 25 in the market for these "wedge bonders" by any chance? It would not seem so, but if it is, then from the AMD 10-K

"In the event the Company is unable to obtain the external financing necessary to meet its covenants under the Credit Agreement, it will also be unable to fund its capital investments planned for 1998."

Regards
