Favorite insult: ...isn't it just like a <derogatory term> to bring a knife to a gunfight. (Click!) In all seriousness. I'm always cleaning a gun or something. When Spouse and I start arguing, first thing I do is clear the chamber and put the gun down. Wife&I had some real shoutfests (usually when she's ** wrong and can't ***** admit it) but she doesn't associate my guns with danger, because I never would allow myself to associate them with anger.
