<< I'd much prefer that politicians of both stripes occupy themselves with meaningless things >>

You are in luck. There are countries, such as Cuba, North Korea, Iraq, Iran, where you can find that type of government. Though, I don't know how much difficulty you would have getting a visa.

<< I must admit that it's truly touching to see someone like you with this much emotional attachment to a politician (in this case, the president). I'm amazed... >>

Actually, my feelings are more of gratitude to President Clinton for the good job that he has done, rather than an "emotional attachment", but label it any way you choose.

I am also pleased that the "radical right" has been kept at bay. I'm sure that you will agree that we need strong leaders, like Clinton, to keep these fundamentalists away from political power.

Regardless of your contempt for our political system, the U.S. still has one of the best political systems in the world, and the majority of people, in this world, are living in freedom because of the strength of our system.

I think that we all should have an "emotional attachment" every time that we see our flag waving in the breeze.

Regards, Bob

I must admit that it's truly touching to see someone like
you with this much emotional attachment to a politician
(in this case, the president). I'm amazed...

Peter, Why should you be amazed? President Clinton will go down in history as one of the greatest Presidents.
The sad thing is, that there are those who for a few lousy dollars will lie just to bring the President and the First Lady down. There was so much hatred and jealousy back in Little Rock. I truly believe in my heart, that Mr. Hale was PAID to lie and he got the bankers and others to put up money to pay not only the troopers and the newspapers but also PAULA JONES. The so called HOTEL room, was not a bedroom, but an office at the hotel, used by the President. How sad for this Paula Jones to have been caught up in this web. Someday, she may tell the truth and the TRUTH will set her free.
I believe in the President, I have always believed in the President and I always will.
God Bless America for giving me the right to stand up for FREEDOM.
