Oh no, not another Iomaniac in denial!

But seriously, SR, Sony is not displaying any weakness of its own. Reports are that Sony increased profits 51% last year. This is not a sick company. A sick company is one that is projected to experience a 61% decline in earnings year to year. Like Iomega.

I doubt that any overall weakness in the Japanese enonomy will effect HiFi one way or the other.
