Watch KLIC shoot up through the roof! They announced a loss rather than a shortfall or miss.. Best of the best and nothing like the rest. The worse they miss the higher they should fly.. Kulicke & Soffa (KLIC) 23 3/4 unch: semiconductor equipment company warns of a Q1 loss vs a First Call estimate of $0.36. KLIC also sees revenues significantly below estimates; the company cited an order cancellation from a major company for the shortfall. Having just seen KLAC KLA/Tencor warn (and rally 2+ points) on Wednesday and having seen seven other semi equipment firms warn previously, the KLIC announcement is hardly a shock.....
