Zead, It's better to have a high quality product without the hype than a lower quality product with lots of hype. SR

One more comment concerning the marketing of IOM... Instead of spending the 100 mil on advertising, if they would put a small $5 spiff on zip and jazz drives for all the mail order and retail sales outfits, their sales would increase 10 fold. This would cost far less than the current advertising. I have always said that IOM neglected its channel because they had more demand than supply. Well now times have changed and the channel needs to be as educated and incented as the public.

The average sales person at these mail order houses has little PC experience. Other manufacturers spend money on "lunch and learns" buying the entire sales force lunch in order to get 30 minutes of their time and to show their products. IOM has never done any of this. Hell as popular as IOM's products are, half of the sales forces out there have never even seen a zip or jazz drive in person....

Take care of your channel and you will sell more "stuff".
