j.s.-- i feel that i should respond to your post since i believe you have referred to me in it. first, with respect to your request for "solid news", imho this can only be done by ptsc itself. For example, i could say that ptsc will be announcing a blockbuster deal this coming week but it would be absolutely meaningless since this would still be rumor, speculation, etc. until it did happen. you would say what do you base this on and i would say it was just something i heard. even if i responded by saying that i was told by paul berlin, woody norris, mike carrenzo, or god himself (none of which have told me this except god and to be honest i am not sure whether it was god or the devil - it's amazing what 40 days in the desert will do to a guy), you would still say we have heard this all before. so the bottomline is what's the point. the point is that this is a tiny company which can still best be descibed as a story stock. you either believe, don't believe, or give up believing in the story. i have tried not to do a lot of cheerleading about ptsc b/c i personally think it is more detrimental then positive but have tried to remain positive (b/c i still believe in the story) and have tried also to provide general info which i believed related to ptsc and its story. i guess if it is not found to be helpful i won't. i have tried to allow for different viewpoints until it has become so repetitious i wonder what the point is except to have some perverse fun in beating up the stock. it is very easy togo to a thread where the stock has been beaten up and say i told you so. i always felt staff has had the right philosophical approach to this investing and i suggest you go back and look at some of his past posts. i admit that i too have had my frustrations with ptsc. if you go back to some of my earlier posts you'll see that i thought ptsc would begin having chip design wins by the end of 1997; i was clearly wrong. at that time i reevaluated my position and determined that i still believed in the ptsc story and therefore continue to hold for the time being. all i can say is that, if you do not continue to believe in the story, then sell your position and move on to another story or better yet buy msft, csco, cpq, etc. and pray the market dn go into a major correction. i'll get off my soapbox now. later...........bob
