jbn3, here is my opinion on Dell's growth for what little it is worth. I think the overall US PC sales, measured in dollars, will peak in 1998 and I also expect that Dell's market share will only increase moderately as competition intensifies. Most people who want a PC now have at least a 486. While there will be continuing upgrades from the 486 machines, there is little incentive to upgrade pentium machines. We have pentium 60's still performing daily service in our office and will only upgrade them as they break.

The current pc sales growth rate can continue over the years only if little green men start buying them, there just aren't enough liteate earthlings.
