RIG's market capitalization- $5.283B ESV's market capitalization- $3.983B I can't see ESV acquiring RIG. Even if ESV paid no premium at all(doubt it), look at the market caps. If a premium were to be paid, ESV would be trying to acquire a company almost twice its size!
