Interesting comment, Phil. You see, my wife has been bugging me to write a book on investing. I ignore her because if I write a book everyone will be able to prove that that I don't know what I'm talking about. For now they just suspect it. Actually there are lots of good books on what technical analysis is but few (I've only found one) that gives specific, verifiable information that investors can use to make money using technical indicators. That's Dr. Alexander Elder's Trading For a Living. He doesn't teach you how to make money using his trading rules; instead he shows you what to look for when applying your rules.

So why aren't there more good investment books? Simple answer: If one has discovered a way to make an outrageous living why would he write a book? Money? Nah, he doesn't need it. Ego? Maybe. Interest in helping others? Possibly. Me? In addition to suffering from terminal greed, I'm basically lazy. Writing is hard work as I discovered several years ago when I tried to write the definitive novel. Emphasis "tried".
