On yahoo thread speculation that short position dropped by "around 4 mil.". This stock is now headed for the twenties to stay, if not lower than that!
Nasdaq looked sluggish with huge volume, maybe 2nd or 3rd biggest day and only up 5+ points. The nasdaq may be rolling over.

Have the short positions dropped any, last I recall was 44 Million. The latest rally would reduce the number of short positions giving MU a smoother curve.

I don't think the short position is going to decrease until the stock price declines substantially. If some shorts get "squeezed" out, they will be replaced by fresh shorts. MU is popular for a reason. <g>
