. One has to sometimes stick closer to fundamentals than excessive greed, momentum, or speculative buy-out rumors, to successfully forecast stock prices.

if they hope to be around for more than this quarter's flavor...

Samuel, as a big fan of both fundementals and IDTI, I agree wholeheartedly with you. But, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and IDTI has been dead money at best for most investors over the past 3 years (yes, yes, all you ingenius traders have been making out like bandits!). I really think that few people are going to jump on board until either a big OEM announces their commitment to the WinChip or earnings blip upwards. By then, it will be too late for anyone to participate in the initial big ride (assuming there is a big ride). The timing seems about right now for another big semi cycle, too. Semi cycles take a while to turn and shake everyone out before beginning another run with another set of investors.

IDTI has done a good job of removing themselves from the commodity SRAM market. Of the 20% involvement in SRAMs probably very few percent are commodity SRAMs and IDTI is unlikely to push the price down to keep that biz. Were still in a holding pattern and will likely remain so at least until earnings come out.
