To further comment on the "lunch and learns", every other major company participates in these. From the large INTC, AMD, CPQ, ADPT, IBM, DEC, COMS, USRX, to the small...... Give the sales person $5 to mention did you want a zip built into that machine????? Hell they could make an extra $15 bucks an hour no problem.. These sales forces make half if not more of their income from "spiffs". You don't incent them with cash and they don't care....... The average mail order sales person makes in excess of 30k per year min. The good ones who concentrate on pushing "spiffed" items can make 5ok easily.....

Has there been any performance or quality reveiws on the Orb drive. SparQ had some very bad reveiws . Poor quality and they wouldn't trust it for back-ups. The Zip drive was more reliable, one analyst said.

>>Orb has over 21 times the capacity of Zip. Orb is at least 10 times faster than Zip. Is there even a contest?<<

Yes, there is. Orb isn't compatible with the 12M+ Zips out there, and if you drop an Orb disk it is likely to break.

Now, the Orb may crush Jaz, but I don't think it's in the same market quite as Zip. I have some IOM for the Zip, not the Jaz (though I am close to selling out and just waiting for signs of a turnaround in Zip OEM inclusion).
