One of Toronto's oldest and saaviest Option Specialists, Porter Davis, posts on SI rather regularly, that is when he has something to say about what's up/down/sideways with ABX... Look for him under Canadian Options thread. G/Luck

fIXER, Bought some ABX Jan99 22 1/2 Calls awhile back at 1 9/16. Closed yesterday at 3, up 3/16ths. I wanted to give myself enough time in case we revisited the bottoms again. I figure that the economic instability, Asia/ Japan problems and y2k will take some time for folks to wise up. Plus we have an overextended market with metals undervalued. I didn't go out longer than that because I believe all h**l will break out when we actually start to see year 2000 impact (besides 1/2 Bil price tags to try to completely fix it a la GM) no later than 1Q 99. gary
