With the new merger developments between NASDAQ & AMEX exchange the NASDAQ are more than ever making sure that they have no direct association with the OTC quotation systems. I believe the OTC web site is fairly new and is one part of the overall marketing of this OTC systems as being totally seperated from the NASDAQ system. I believe the only connection between the NASDAQ/OTC was the fact that the NASDAQ operated the trading for the Over the Counter company quotes through their computer system. I think has or will be changing in the near future. Anyone ?? Listing requirements to stay quoted on the OTC are also getting tighter and many companies current on the OTC will be placed on a daily pink sheet service which will mean no electronic quotes - you would have to call your broker to get a price i guess.
