Hi Dave,
What's the formula for " MACD (12-26-9) NO HISTOGRAM"? Do we use "(Mov(C,12,E)-Mov(C,26,E))" then drag and drop a 9 day EMA onto it. This will display the TWO lines (red and blue)??......thanks.......Bruce

Nice chart, Dave. It's a buy. My only hesitation came from looking at CCI(13), which is over 300.

CCI(13) was high with IR, but it isn't giving the best signals in this strong market. It's been crossing back under 200 right before some big moves. FFTI is one example. PSIX is another.

P.S. IR is on the move.

Dave-
I want to again thank you for your unselfish guidance into these new (for me) indicators. AND, I wish I had something to add in return, hopefully soon. I believe I have them set up and displayed correctly. I will check with IR. I have 2 questions-

1) I have seen posts regarding substitution of the Dahl indicator which sound convincing to me, and as a daytrader need a fast signal, do you suspect that someone doing daytrading should set up differently? The stocks on my list this week matching your criteria (except Dahl- not yet up) were generally excellent daytrades.
2) Do you think the indicators work in reverse for shorts?

I'll tell you where to send the bill,(SI-free, Q&A-free, NJ meeting-free) the guilt is killing me.
-Alex

Hi Dave,
Thanks for sharing with us the indicators you use. I have one question. Do you take in consideration Divergences between the stock price and indicators? I have notice when I look at the ROC indicator, it made a new high at 2/13/98, and been on a downtrend ever since, while the price of IP was going up. This would be a warning sign. The same thing can be said with the MACD 8-17-9 Indicator as well. I'm still learning and would love to hear your comments on the subject of Divergences.

Thanks again for your lessons

Dave: Here's a stock that met the conditions in your system last week: MYG. It showed up in a QP Canslim scan. On Wednesday, both StochRSI's crossed 30. DNS has been rising, and it hit 8 on Friday. InSync, Dahl and MACD look good. Now StochRSI(8,5) looks overbought. CCI(13) -- which is not part of your system, of course -- looks overbought, too. Last week's chart presents a good example of your system at work, though.

Here's an example of one that may meet the conditions soon, if StochRSI(14) turns up: HOV. StochRSI(8,5) has just crossed up through 30, and typically, it leads StochRSI(14). DNS is moving up. If StochRSI(14) turns up, watch out. This is also a Canslim stock (well, a QP Canslim stock).
