Outstanding shares SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 30, 1998--Digitcom Corp. (OTC:DGIV - news) Friday announced that its board of directors has authorized management to repurchase up to 1,500,000 shares of the company's common stock, which equals approximately 12% of total outstanding shares. Total number of shares calculated: 12.5 million I think someone mentioned that the company had about 6 million float.

Morning all. Just read my morning Washington Post and saw the FCC VoIP tax story. Not overly concerned for three reasons: (1) DGIV's business is mainly overseas VoIP, and they are working in-country with their versions of their FCC's, (2) it shows the reality and strength of this technology when the ATT's of the world get worried and try to join the bandwagon -- in my experience, whenever a big company goes to Uncle Sam for help, they are in trouble, and you should buy up their competitors -- look at Microsoft vs Netscape, (3) By the time the FCC comes around to doing anything one way or the other all of these VoIP companies will have established strong positions. Also saw some skeptics on the thread, and I like that, as long as we don't get down to ad-hominem attacks. I think we are all, or should be, skeptics. This is, after all, an OTC company and not GM. Also, to skeptics, please go through all the thread before you ask us to repeat the hard work Byron and others have done. And if you find that there is any DD that has been done that is wrong -- and you have facts to support your contrarian position -- please let us know. That way you will be helping all of us, and helping your credibility. It does no one any good to just throw potshots, but I know that is human nature -- I have fallen into that same trap sometime. Well, today I really have to get some work done, so I will not be on this thread as much as yesterday. I will just be able to check ih periodically. Good luck to us all!!
