The Microsoft announcement was perfectly timed to catch WIND at its' most vulnerable point (from a technical perspective).

Stochastics, which have been an excellent indicator of WIND's trading pattern, had signaled an over bought condition and would probably would have triggered a correction, even without the announcement.

In addition, WIND had just broken through a resistance level and "buyer's remorse " would also have been in play -- perhaps causing a re-test of the support level.

Add to those factors the 600 pound gorilla beating its' chest and threatening to enter WIND's domain and you have the perfect recipe for a price dip.

How much technical damage is done depends on the next few days. If we are able to stay above $34.75, no harm at all. Below that level and we'll have to look lower for support.

Perhaps tomorrow's candle will give us a clue as to the short term. I'll post if anything develops along those lines.
