Steve, This MSHE relation with INTC is important. I have seen this
pattern before in image analysis companies. The early systems were
proprietary hardware/software and then they gradually lost out to
systems based on generic architecture. Why? Because the whole
computer market is supporting the development of the generic
architecture and special proprietary systems/applications can charge
a lot for early prototypes but lose out when the market expands.
Your post suggests that Steve Jobs ought to take that job at Apple
because PIXARs early success may fit this pattern and film animation
with Intel based machines will put PIXAR out of business.
