Thank you, Jesse. Limit order gets filled at the pleasure of the market makers. You can see the Nasdaq limit book of all the limit orders on National market stocks and small cap stocks, but not otc-bb stocks. Limit orders can be any amount especially stop loss orders which can be more than 20% down from reality. What most brokers hate to do is do limit orders that are out of reality, perhaps; but definitely no rules of what the limit order striking price is.
