Sorry you weren't lucky at the option game. I feel any short term option put/call is a gamble and try to stay with the longer ones. Nothings more frustrating then buying a put, seeing it expire and watching the stock decline. I picked up some EK 10/98 55 puts today I sure wish AMZN had LEAPS. I enjoy this thread there's a lot of inteligent analysis here however intelect and stock prices do not go hand in hand lately.

I've been following this Asia crisis since last July and realized at that time what this may do to the world economy. If you remember the people who said Asia doesn't matter are the same ones that for the prior 6 years said the stock market can sustain lofty levels because of the demand from Asia. Other economist said that since only 14%
of our GDP is exports and only a 1/3 of that is Asia, it should shave maybe 1/10 of 1% off our GDP. Nobody quantifies the effect of the US buying Asian products instead of US, the eventual effect of Asia repatriating their funds to rebuild, the effect on the competitions economies (SA) etc.

Well it looks like tonight I can eat my poptarts and drink my Bud and watch CNBC's 3 hour Dow 9,000 special. Tick, tick, tick.
