Sam;

<<As Goethe said on his deathbed, "More light!">>

Did Goethe really say that? I love it. Rumor is that Johnny Carson plans to say "I'll be right back".

best,
Stitch

Stitch is the great drive expert.

Between times if Toyota can sell better cars than GM at 25% less than they do now... will anybody be buying Chevies?

Such a complex question.

What should happen is that with the savings of the Japanese people invested in a hugely overblown US market, with the Nikkei at 8,000, GM should go into the Japanese market and buy Toyota and then give up trying to make cars. GM should then hire Henry Kravis to run it's finacial operations. I realize this is too clear-headed an answer to your question to ever happen.

The winner's here will be the people. The modern American companies of the 21st century... will be like the film companies here who use international talent and international financial resources to make their movies. These companies will "vulture" the world.

Something like this will happen, however Sam. The trick will be to buy the vultures before they really start their meal.

Are you really Sam Zell? Tell me you are. You're going to actually buy Fujitsu? Start with Toshiba... they have the Dvd "track". Forget disk drives they won't exist.
