The volume is not convincing...

I do not think the run up has anything to do with impending news. The volume is not there, the average volume size suggests pure retail. I think this is speculative froth in the entire penny stock universe, I do not think it is WAVX specific.

But it sure does feel good <g>.

Agreed on the demographics on this MSB. Listen, I hate wrestling, stuff like WCW and WWF. But that didn't stop me (or Wildman262) from buying alot of THQI about 2 years ago.

To Pure Folder on April Speculation:

I have heard that several key individuals involved on the Wave project team at IBM have moved. One was promoted to be a technical advisor to Lou Gerstner and the other left IBM for another OEM. This could delay any potential announcement until late May, around the time of the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Atlanta.

The new key people responsible for the Wave project at IBM need to be 'brought up to speed' so they can keep production plans on track. Since huge corporations like IBM tend to move slower when personnel are shuffled, it appears that no IBM announcement will occur in April. Another major OEM could possibly beat IBM to the market and this would be ironic. IBM is not the only OEM interested.

The current run-up in Wave's stock is probably due to recent positive announcements (ie. Lark Allen) and overall expectations with the promise of big things on the horizon. I agree with the comment that activity has been limited to the retail market and that fewer holders of the stock are willing to sell. Also, some micro-cap funds might be buying small positions. If investors are currently buying on the expectation of an imminent announcement in April then there may be some frustration as the month goes on, causing a retreat in the stock and further buying opportunities. This has happened to Wave many times before.

Activity in the stock may also continue to grow because if Wave gets the anticipated OEM commitments, then it will gain growing recognition in the investment community as an "INTERNET STOCK" and that is big right now. Wave has the potential to be an integral player on the Internet much like a utility, not just a fringe player like so many others.

I'm still planning to stay as long as it takes and I'm convinced one or more OEMs will commit to install WaveMeters in the not too distant future.
