What's to say Iomega wont drop the price of Jaz drives to $199 retail and $33 per disk? Sure, revenues, profits, and margins will all be hurt. But given the competitive landscape, this might have to happen.

The Jaz drive has an unusually large installed base, thus I think most people would buy the Jaz over the Sparq. Indeed, the Jaz is cross-platform (PC and Mac) while the Sparq is PC only.

In regards to the Orb: What exactly does beta mean? Prototype with bugs included? Is it available in stores or not? If not, when?
