Look at article on Mercury News bus.section.
CPQ is beating DELL by offering cheaper
price for the same PC,notebook.
HWP and IBM will soon do the same.
They can imitate DELL PC business model
to make their product cost-effective.
When an analyst upgrade yesterday to strong
buy and DELL lost 1/2 point in this bull market,
something is wrong.
By the time you DELL bulls know it (analyst
downgrade) ,it 's too late.

LoD,

'Cmon on! Of course they can beat DELL! No problem-o! As long as they want to finance their 'losses' from some other part of their business, they could give their machines away! Is this 'clear' enough for you?

On the other hand, I think some heads would roll if the 'bigs' tried too much of this! Might even be a lawsuit from DELL, that then the 'bigs' could pay twice, once for the machines they gave away, and then again for settling the law suit!

Needles to say, the share-holders would be 'livid'!

Regards,

Ken
