>>what do you think if IOM trys to buy Castlewood?<<

Castlewood cannot be "bought out" unless they want to be. Castlewood is a privately-held corporation. Its stock is not traded publically.

IOM is hobbled by their marriage to outdated technology. Both Zip and jaz use technology that is 20 years old. Orb represents a fresh start with MR tech. Iomega's Jaz is doomed.

Re: IOM buyout of Castelwood

IOM will and does not need to buyout Castlewood. According to hiring postitions posted by IOM, they are looking for personnel with MR technology experince, so a product competing with the ORB is not that unlikely. Besides, for how many ORB media does "Joe sixpack" need after the first two?

Time will tell.
