Jack, thanks for the clarification about tenses versus moods. As you know by now, studying the subjunctive is one of my true loves in life. I think my real complaint is that Ameritrade's web server goes down constantly, screws up trades, gives incorrect quotes, and credits me with phantom positions, and Ameritrade itself loses checks I send for deposit. Then they keep advertising and make the problem worse. Then to top it off their ad has an arguably incorrect grammatical construction. Those are ample grounds for me to squawk, in my book!
