David, a question or two about options with an IRA.

Am I wrong in understanding that some brokerages allow options - buying Puts and Calls within an IRA? My IRA broker allows covered calls and covered puts, but it seems I have read in the MU forum in the last week or so that someone was indicating they owned Puts in their IRA.

If Puts and Calls are available to some people for their IRA, is this a case-by-case by broker; are options OK on case-by-case for clients within certain brokers [those that allow options]?? Who/What brokers allow this capability?

Thanks
