>>>The new billboard creative, by the by, is some of the best
concept/creative I've seen IFMX sign-off on in years. It's
the right direction. Congrats to the agency on that part!

The billboard has been up at least 3 weeks. I surprised no one mentioned it before. hmmmmmmm

As for the right direction, how's this as a step in the right direction: IFMX is hoping to announce their earnings at about the same time as everyone else in the world who ends their quarter the end of March. THAT (caps intended) would be a major accomplishment and prove that they finally have some control over their infrastructure and revenue recognition issues. As everyone knows, IFMX has always lagged everyone else (bigger & smaller) by several weeks.

Cheers.

>>>And Chaz certainly didn't care for my comments.

I'd like to lessen the number of knee-jerk disrespectful comments towards technical people. Most of us have really tired of being called techies, geeks, nerds, et cetera. If nothing else, it probably costs us money and position. This used to be a bit of humorous self-deprecation, but self-deprecation never gives anyone else a license to use the slanders freely.

Having it automatically assumed that despite, or perhaps because of, demonstrated scholastic and creative ability, we must be plagued with poorer-than-normal judgement or abilities in other areas is absurd.

So, I think programmers, engineers, scientists, scholars, and others who suffer these attacks should immediately protest or even retaliate. Pretty soon we won't be hearing it any more. It seems to have worked for the lawyers. If protesting repeated public slights worked for them, it can work for anyone.

(However, Jim, I am not trying to pick a fight with you in particular. It's the general tendency that needs to be stamped out. I enjoy your posts, in fact.)
