Paul, I do expect GTW to do very well this quarter because they do not have the inventory problems that CPQ, HWP and IBM have. CPQ is however in a worse position than HWP and IBM. DELL is very strong this quarter and their product pricepoints very competitive. DELL is , however, experiencing some management problems which appear to be a consequence of their rapid growth. The $ 800K fine indicates that someone was not minding the store. Also, Airborne Express lost my new Dimension XPS and DELL did not know this happened until I phoned. (They need to close the loop on their shippers to make sure delivery has been made.) Also, their spare parts operation needs better management. They shipped me the wrong upgrade parts for my Optiplex. I would like to see DELL followup on these problems. Regards, Jim
