Casey, There was supposed to be a hearing yesterday (4-2-98) by the Senate Agriculture Committee to discuss Senator Harkin's Animal Agriculture Reform Act. I can't find anything on the Net so far as to how the hearing went!

<April 2, 1998 -- A hearing to examine legislation introduced by Sen. Harkin (S.1323) in October that would set minimum national standards for the environmentally sound management of animal waste. The Animal Agriculture Reform Act, S.1323, would require large livestock and poultry operations to follow animal waste
management plans focused on using manure for crop nutrients and preventing water pollution. The hearing will take place at 9 a.m. in SR-328A>

All help is appreciated.

BTW, if you SUPPORT Senator Harkin's bill, here's a link to the Senators on the Agriculture Committee. Call or e-mail your Senator and let him know how you feel!

Casey

Rene's price objective of $>30 for the stock is very interesting. Did he state the time frame for his objective? He obviously knows more than any of us regarding the amount of interest, prospective J.V.'s and other large waste haulers that are currently in negotiations.

Thanks,
Chuck
