Alex, that is a wonderful plan. Do you know why it's so great?
It's because it's YOUR plan. You did it. Sure, you can
thank the folks who responded (I've been reading along),
and you should. But I also peeked at your profile,
and you did your homework, and you made your decision,
and it's yours.

You may win or lose, but you've taken command of your own
fate. One of the most important parts of that is asking
for advice and for help. Always do that. But then,
you did the next essential thing, which is to evaluate
that advice and decide for yourself.

So go ahead. You will succeed and you will fail, you
can count on both of these to happen, but
you know the basics many years ahead of most (ahead of all I
ever knew). I'm taking a lesson or two from you myself,
and I'm many times older than you are. Now take care that
you learn from both your successes and your failures. If
you do, you will be a very wise person in any company and
at any age.

Best of luck to you.

Regards,

Spots

<<<WOW! i never thought so many people would help me with this.>>>

Alex, I suspect that most serious investors on this thread received a helping hand when they began investing. I did, and I'm grateful for the influence of my family and close friends.

You mention that you will start a part time job at the country club during summer. Good Luck. Besides carrying their bags, see if some of those golfers can give you some good advise, (Not HOT tips).

Please feel free to contact us anytime and if possible let us know your progress. We'll remember you because your probably the first person in your status to ask for help. Thanks for giving us an opportunity to help and,

Good Luck

Mike

Alex,
I know you are not 12 years old, but I still like to answer your post.
First of all I would like to congratulate on your decision to buy CPQ with your $800.
It is a smart decision. Of course , you are investing on CPQ long long term and will not
care the day to day fluctuation.30 years later , when you look back, you will be very happy about today's decision. CPQ is no more a pure PC company, but more diversify. I bet CPQ will not be just in the computers business, but also Networking,
CPU, service, software, consumer electronics, E- commerce ...etc in the near future, that will guarantee the continue growth of the company as a whole, of course the stock price and your investment !!!!
