Cheryl,

Can you say..... Fifty Billion dollars?

That kind of money and ego might make anything possible. Now he has decided that he will go to Washington and lobby congress (that noble bunch of truely honest people) to further his causes.....

The amazing thing is the number of individuals and governments that respond with, "well that's just the way it is, politics as usual". The fact is "the way it is" is exactly how the people want it to be. I can not fathom any plurality endorsing completely deceptive information as "that's just the way it is" and not be willing to stand up and say "no that is not the way it is". Once we reach the point wherein people just accept misinformation as "well that's just the way it is" our freedom of choice as well as personal freedom is history. Sort of the scenario presented by Toffler in "Megatrends". Networks (including news media) dispersing misinformation with governments and industry idley standing by to forward their own self interest. Bill Gates has decided that he can own the Internet and our government has decided that they can go along with it and espouse the underlying mantra for both parties as being "anything for the buck" (including our freedom).
